Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 3–4 days in office)

Compensation:


  • Base Salary: $65,000–$90,000 (depending on experience and licensing)
  • Bonus: 5–10% based on accuracy, efficiency, and team contribution
  • Licensing Support: Sponsorship for Series 7 (if not already licensed)
  • Total Compensation Potential: $70,000–$100,000+

They are seeking an Operations Associate who will play a key role in supporting both investment and insurance operations. This is a highly dynamic, “catch-all” position for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in getting things right, and wants to be a true team player.


This person will start with a focus on investment operations, expand into insurance operations, and ultimately become cross-trained across all operational functions. There is also an opportunity to help build and refine internal processes, including creating and documenting SOPs.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support day-to-day investment operations, including account opening, transfers, money movement, and maintenance
  • Assist with insurance operations, including application processing, underwriting coordination, and policy tracking
  • Serve as a go-to resource for operational tasks across the team (“catch-all” support)
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness across all transactions and client-related work
  • Help create, document, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Partner closely with advisors and client service team members to ensure a seamless client experience
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and operational improvements as bandwidth allows
  • Maintain strong organization and follow-through across multiple systems and priorities



Qualifications:


  • 2–5+ years of experience in wealth management, financial services, or operations
  • Experience with investment operations (account opening, transfers, custodians, etc.) preferred
  • Exposure to insurance operations is a plus (or willingness to learn quickly)
  • Series 7 license preferred, or willingness to obtain shortly after joining
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Team-first mindset with a willingness to jump in wherever needed
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems and processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate internally
  • Ability to work in-office in San Francisco 3–4 days per week



30 / 60 / 90 Day Plan (with Metrics)


First 30 Days


  • Learn firm workflows, systems, and operational processes
  • Focus on investment operations tasks with training and support
  • Begin exposure to insurance operations workflows
  • Build relationships with internal team members



Metrics


  • Complete onboarding and training across all core systems and custodians
  • Successfully process 15–25 operational requests (account openings, transfers, money movement) with oversight
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail (minimal errors/rework)
  • Gain working knowledge of key workflows across investment operations



60 Days


  • Take ownership of core investment operations tasks independently
  • Begin actively supporting insurance operations processes
  • Start identifying opportunities for efficiency and process improvement
  • Assist with documentation of initial SOPs



Metrics


  • Independently process 25–40+ operational requests with high accuracy
  • Support 5–10 insurance-related cases (applications, follow-ups, tracking)
  • Maintain turnaround times aligned with team expectations
  • Draft or contribute to at least 2–3 SOP documents
  • Maintain strong internal responsiveness and communication



90 Days


  • Fully integrated across both investment and insurance operations
  • Act as a reliable “go-to” for a wide range of operational needs
  • Contribute to process improvements and team efficiency
  • Take on project-based work as capacity allows



Metrics


  • Handle 40–60+ operational requests independently with minimal oversight
  • Support ongoing insurance operations pipeline with consistency
  • Contribute to 3–5 SOPs or process improvements
  • Maintain high accuracy and timeliness across all work
  • Be viewed internally as a dependable, team-first contributor
