Compensation: $132,000–$211,000 base + 25% performance bonus

About the Company:

Our client is a privately held, full service financial services firm offering banking, wealth, and insurance solutions through a client focused, community oriented model. With deep roots in Wisconsin, the firm is known for its strong values, long term client relationships, and commitment to personalized service. The culture emphasizes integrity, collaboration, authenticity, and doing what is right for the client.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Wealth Portfolio Manager to step into an established book of high net worth client relationships in the Madison market.

This is not a book building role. The Portfolio Manager will inherit an established client base and focus on delivering sophisticated investment management while becoming a trusted, long term partner to clients. The role works closely with Wealth Advisors, financial planners, private bankers, and investment professionals to provide an integrated wealth management experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment professional who enjoys both the technical side of portfolio management and the relationship side of wealth management. The firm is continuing to evolve and grow, creating longer term opportunities for a strong senior professional beyond the immediate portfolio management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage an established portfolio of high net worth client relationships
  • Develop and oversee customized investment strategies based on client goals, risk tolerance, time horizons, and financial needs
  • Build trusted relationships with clients through proactive communication, investment guidance, and ongoing portfolio oversight
  • Lead investment conversations and communicate portfolio strategy and market perspectives clearly and confidently
  • Partner closely with Wealth Advisors and financial planning professionals to integrate investment management with broader financial planning
  • Collaborate with private banking and other internal partners to deliver a coordinated client experience
  • Participate in prospective client conversations alongside Wealth Advisors when appropriate
  • Provide ongoing portfolio construction, asset allocation, investment recommendations, and performance oversight
  • Serve as a senior investment resource within the Madison market

Qualifications:

  • 7 to 10+ years of investment management, portfolio management, private wealth, or closely related experience
  • Significant experience working directly with high net worth individuals and families
  • Strong portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment management expertise
  • CFA strongly preferred or comparable investment credentials and experience
  • Financial planning knowledge or experience highly valued
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated investment concepts in a clear, relatable way
  • Strong relationship building skills and executive presence with high net worth clients
  • Collaborative, client first approach with a high degree of integrity and sound judgment
