Compensation:
$65,000–$80,000 base salary depending on experience + benefits package
Position Overview:
Our client is a fast-growing, client-focused wealth management firm dedicated to delivering exceptional financial planning and service to collegiate and professional athletes, coaches, and high-net-worth clients.
They are seeking a highly organized and proactive Insurance Operations Associate to support the day-to-day execution of the firm’s insurance business. This person will play a key role in managing new insurance cases, coordinating underwriting requirements, servicing existing policies, and ensuring each case moves efficiently from application through policy delivery.
The ideal candidate has a strong insurance operations background, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases while providing a high level of service to advisors and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Insurance New Business & Case Management:
- Manage life insurance new business from application submission through underwriting and policy delivery
- Prepare, review, and submit insurance applications with a high level of accuracy
- Track cases throughout the underwriting process and proactively follow up on outstanding requirements
- Coordinate medical exams, records, and other underwriting requirements
- Communicate with insurance carriers, underwriters, advisors, and clients to keep cases moving forward
- Monitor pending business and provide regular status updates to the advisory team
Policy Service & Client Support:
- Support ongoing servicing of existing insurance policies
- Process beneficiary and ownership changes, policy loans, premium payments, and other policy updates
- Assist clients with insurance-related service requests and paperwork
- Research and resolve policy or carrier-related issues
- Maintain accurate policy information and documentation within internal systems
- Provide a responsive, high-touch experience for clients throughout the insurance process
Advisor & Team Support:
- Serve as the primary operational resource for insurance-related questions and requests
- Support advisors with insurance applications, illustrations, forms, and case preparation
- Coordinate with internal team members to ensure insurance needs are handled accurately and efficiently
- Anticipate next steps and proactively communicate outstanding requirements or potential delays
Operations & Process Improvement:
- Maintain accurate CRM, case management, and insurance records
- Ensure workflows remain organized and deadlines are consistently met
- Identify opportunities to improve insurance processes and increase efficiency
- Help develop scalable workflows and procedures as the firm continues to grow
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in life insurance operations, new business, case management, or policy servicing
- Active Life & Health Insurance license required
- Experience working with life insurance carriers and underwriting processes
- Strong understanding of insurance applications, policy servicing, and new business workflows
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients, advisors, carriers, and underwriters
- Experience with CRM, insurance case management, or financial services platforms preferred
- Wealth management or financial planning firm experience is a plus, but not required
