Title: Director of Financial Planning
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: $80,000–$95,000 base salary with a 20% annual bonus

Our client is a boutique Wealth Management Advisory firm that focuses on designing personalized financial plans and helping clients execute them by safely navigating their financial journey and creating meaningful adventures along the way.
They are currently seeking a Director of Financial Planning to lead and elevate the firm’s financial planning deliverables. This is a key leadership position responsible for driving the consistency, quality, and timeliness of all client plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of financial plans, ensuring alignment with firm standards and client objectives
- Partner with advisors to create comprehensive and thoughtful strategies, including risk management illustrations and wealth management proposals
- Oversee and continuously refine the planning process and operational workflows
- Manage the implementation of risk and investment strategies across the client base
- Ensure planning deliverables are produced on time, accurate, and customized to the client’s needs
- Stay informed on market trends, tax laws, and economic updates to guide planning conversations
- Establish relationships with clients and their next generation, contributing to the long-term success of the firm
- Identify and support opportunities to grow assets under management and generate new revenue streams
- Serve as a thought leader for planning best practices and compliance protocols
- Foster strong working relationships with team members and clients alike
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Financial Services
- Strong background in financial planning and plan delivery
- Series 6 & 63 licenses required
- CFP preferred (or actively pursuing)
- Life, Health, and Long-Term Care Insurance Licenses preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple planning deliverables
- Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and CRM systems
