About the Role:


Our client is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm and ensure the highest levels of productivity, efficiency, client experience, and profitability. This role reports directly to the Partners and is part of the firm’s leadership team, enabling advisors to stay focused on client relationships.


The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, detail-oriented, and experienced in financial services or professional services. They will play a critical role in building scalable systems, leading the team, and supporting the firm’s long-term growth.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Operational Leadership: Own all systems, processes, and infrastructure related to firm operations, compliance, and staff management. Develop, implement, and monitor workflows while stepping in to support daily tasks when necessary.
  • Talent Strategy & Team Management: Oversee staff performance, hiring, training, and career development. Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to support a high-performing culture.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead initiatives such as client segmentation, integrated investment and service models, and other projects that enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Meetings & Communication: Build agendas, run team meetings, and ensure effective communication and follow-up. Serve as the primary point of contact with platform partners and the local office.
  • Compliance & Confidentiality: Ensure strict adherence to compliance requirements, data security, and confidentiality protocols. Track and analyze firm metrics and client information.
  • Marketing & Technology: Oversee marketing initiatives, client events, social media efforts, and technology projects that enhance client experience and firm visibility.
  • Vendor Management: Handle all vendor relationships and ensure service quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on best practices in operations, compliance, technology, and the financial planning process.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years in an operations leadership role (preferably in wealth management or financial planning)
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses a preferred; Life & Health insurance licenses a plus
  • Demonstrated high ethical and professional standards
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in hiring, coaching, and developing staff
  • Skilled in process design and proactive problem-solving
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and technology adoption



Compensation:


  • Base $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience. Total comp between $150,000 - $200,000
