Sales Manager – Medicare Advantage (MAPD) & D-SNP
Location: Santa Barbara/SLO (Hybrid)
Reports To: Director of Communications and Marketing
Compensation: $130,000 - $155,000 + performance-based incentives
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the Medicare Advantage (MAPD) and Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) Inside and Field Sales Department. This role is critical in driving the launch, growth, and retention of the D-SNP plan, overseeing both a telesales team and a remote field sales team to increase enrollment and member retention.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies in the Medicare Advantage space, ensuring compliance with CMS regulations, and leading a high-performing sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven leader with deep experience in Medicare Advantage, D-SNP, and health insurance sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership: Establish and lead the Medicare Advantage & D-SNP sales department, including staffing, CRM implementation, sales-based compensation structures, and training.
- Team Management: Provide leadership to telesales and field sales teams, setting performance expectations and coaching for success.
- Performance Oversight: Monitor and drive key sales KPIs, ensuring strong member acquisition and retention strategies.
- Recruitment & Training: Hire, onboard, and develop a team of licensed Medicare sales agents, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize enrollment and increase market share in the Medicare Advantage and D-SNP space.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to CMS standards, Medicare Advantage sales regulations, and company policies.
- Process Optimization: Oversee CRM usage and enforce processes that enhance efficiency and sales tracking.
- Market & Industry Expertise: Stay informed on Medicare trends, competitors, regulatory changes, and health plan offerings to drive sales success.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 3+ years of Medicare Advantage (MAPD) and D-SNP sales management experience, with a proven track record in high-touch sales environments.
- Licensing: Active California Health & Life Insurance Producer’s License required; must be able to pass AHIP certification.
- Medicare Expertise: Direct experience in D-SNP and/or Medicare Advantage (MAPD) sales is required.
- Leadership Background: Prior experience leading a Medicare sales team, telesales, field agents, or call center environments.
- CRM Knowledge: Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software; EvolveNXT CRM experience is highly preferred.
