About the Role

As a Business Development Consultant at ESG Talent, you will drive client acquisition and growth by identifying new opportunities, building partnerships, and promoting ESG Talent’s services globally. You will play a crucial role in positioning ESG Talent as a trusted partner for organizations seeking ESG and sustainability leadership talent.

Reports To: Managing Director / Head of Business Development

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to expand ESG Talent’s client base across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
• Identify and approach potential clients, including Fortune 500 companies, B Corps, and sustainability-driven organizations.
• Build strong relationships with C-suite executives, HR leaders, and decision-makers.
• Collaborate with Executive Search Consultants to align client needs with candidate solutions.
• Represent ESG Talent at industry events, conferences, and professional associations.
• Conduct market research to identify ESG trends, client challenges, and emerging opportunities.
• Support proposal development, pitch presentations, and contract negotiations.
• Maintain accurate client records in the CRM system and provide regular pipeline updates.

Key Requirements

• Proven track record in business development, client acquisition, or sales (professional services or recruitment preferred).
• Strong networking skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience in ESG, sustainability, or executive search industry is an advantage.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
