Network & Scheduling Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:


The schedule and network analyst, reporting to the Network Planning and Scheduling and Slots VP, will be responsible for aiding in designing optimal schedules, managing a portfolio of slots and analysing performance of the network to improve our schedule.

As a scheduling and network analyst, you must have skills to solving problems daily, carrying out multi objective optimization exercises managing requirements and constraints with a variety of teams within the airline. This position has a great cross-functional visibility on how the airline is run, and a significant opportunity to drive value in a very fast paced and growth-focused organization.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Scheduling design, slots management and network

  • Develop aircraft rotations to optimize aircraft utilization and traffic flow, considering operational constraints, airport requirements, and market desirability.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Ground Operations, Flight Operations, Maintenance, etc.) to ensure schedule feasibility and minimize operational costs.
  • Manage airport relationships, secure necessary rights for optimal operations, and monitor slot rights to protect future positions.
  • Analyse airport capacity and develop strategies to maximize growth opportunities in congested airports.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Experience Team to manage disruptions or cancellations effectively.
  • Ensure proper configuration and management of schedule and inventory on Radixx.
  • Facilitate data sharing and decision-making among relevant parties, including operations, airports, and external data sources.
  • Improve team efficiency by automating manual tasks and implementing new processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Legal, Finance, Operations, Pricing & Revenue Management) to ensure feasibility.


Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop and deliver standardized, and ad-hoc reports to support monitoring of route performance and management decision-making.
  • Increase the data-driven profile of the team with the development of new analytic, optimization and simulation models.
  • Create, recommend, implement, and measure short- and long-term initiatives to help optimize the airline’s profitability.


Contributions beyond Network Planning & Scheduling

  • Collaborate effectively with Revenue Management, Ops, Scheduling, Sales, Marketing, Ancillaries, Customer Experience, Finance, and Legal.


Team - Personal and Professional Development

  • Operate within the network and scheduling team, embracing teamwork to collectively achieve high performance standards in the execution of scheduling tasks.
  • Takes ownership for self-development and knowledge sharing among peers to enhance know-how and overall performance within the team.


Regulatory and Other

  • Ensure compliance in own area and across Arajet with policies and regulations where applicable in order to safeguard the company from any high-risk audit findings, regulatory breaches and company exposure with negative financial implications.
  • Any other duties and accountabilities as assigned by the VP Network Development & Scheduling and Senior Management.



JOB CONTEXT:


  • This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving skills with out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Knowledge of scheduling systems and/or network planning is preferred.
  • Position requires previous knowledge of other Commercial areas, such as sales and revenue management, that will add a different point of view to any scheduling task. Experience in network planning is a plus.
  • The jobholder needs to be able to work under pressure and be comfortable with “grey areas”.


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial, Engineering, Economics, Finance or relevant field, or other analytics-intensive fields a plus
  • Two to five (2-5) years of relevant and developmental experience.
  • Familiarity with airline economic and industry concepts is a plus
  • Advanced communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced skills)
  • Excellent planning and organisational capability.
  • Strong presentational skills
  • Excellent standard of Spanish (written, conversational and comprehension).
  • Excellent in English (written, conversational and comprehension).
