Managing Director, Sourcing & Procurement

Location: Remote (U.S.) with approximately 25% travel to client sites

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Managing Director, Sourcing & Procurement to lead strategic procurement transformation initiatives for a major enterprise client. This executive-level consulting role will partner closely with senior client stakeholders to optimize sourcing strategies, improve supplier performance, drive cost savings, and implement procurement best practices across multiple spend categories.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior procurement advisor for a large enterprise client
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives across indirect and direct spend categories
• Lead supplier negotiations, contracting strategies, and vendor performance management
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational efficiencies, and value creation
• Partner with executive stakeholders to align procurement strategy with organizational goals
• Build executive-level client relationships and serve as a trusted strategic advisor
• Analyze spend data to develop sourcing recommendations and category strategies
• Lead cross-functional initiatives involving finance, operations, legal, and business leaders
• Drive procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor and develop internal sourcing professionals

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of progressive sourcing and procurement leadership experience
• Experience leading enterprise strategic sourcing initiatives
• Experience as leader of leaders managing team members owning specialty skills
• Strong executive presence with exceptional client-facing communication skills
• Demonstrated success negotiating complex supplier agreements
• Deep knowledge of procurement best practices and category management
• Strong analytical and financial acumen
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a consulting environment
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%

Preferred

• Healthcare industry procurement experience
• Experience working within a consulting or managed services organization
• MBA or advanced degree
• CPSM, CPSD, or similar procurement certification 

The Managing Director, Sourcing and Procurement is a remote role, with travel up to 25% within the US.

Salary for this position is $220,000 - $240,000 with benefits
