They are seeking a Data Engineer who can play a key role in building, streamlining, and maintaining data systems that drive analytics, reporting, and decision-making across the business. This is a contract-to-hire role, offering the chance to grow into a long-term position and make a meaningful impact.
What You’ll Do
As a Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing and managing the pipelines that move, transform, and prepare data for business use. You’ll collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and technical stakeholders to ensure the company’s data is accurate, accessible, and optimized for performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and maintaining scalable pipelines that collect, transform, and deliver data from multiple sources.
- Building and optimizing data warehouse environments, with a strong focus on Snowflake.
- Creating and supporting ETL/ELT processes to power reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics.
- Ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance through quality checks and governance practices.
- Collaborating across teams to understand business needs and provide tailored data solutions.
- Monitoring performance and improving efficiency of workflows and queries.
- Documenting processes and staying current with emerging tools and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should bring:

3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.

Hands-on experience with Snowflake (minimum 2 years), including schema design, modeling, and query optimization.
- Proven background in building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Airflow, Informatica, Talend, or similar.
- Strong SQL skills, plus experience with a programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their integration with Snowflake.
- Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security standards.
- Bonus: exposure to financial services or credit union data environments, as well as BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
