Position Overview
A leading organization supporting a major retail client is seeking a Buyer, Indirect Procurement – Store Fulfillment to join its procurement operations team in Columbus, OH.
This role will support day-to-day purchasing and store fulfillment activities, including purchase orders, replenishment, catalog management, supplier coordination, invoice validation, and procurement reporting. The Buyer will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to keep purchasing activity accurate, efficient, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage online purchasing activity and maintain catalogs, item information, and related procurement data.
- Convert approved requisitions into purchase orders for corporate and supply chain purchasing needs.
- Provide buyer/planner support for designated products and replenishment categories.
- Review invoices and new supplier setups to confirm pricing, rates, fees, and other charges are accurate.
- Prepare recurring reports for assigned indirect procurement categories.
- Process replenishment purchase orders and maintain accurate SKU and item-level information.
- Troubleshoot purchasing, supplier, system, and stakeholder issues and help drive them through resolution.
- Enter purchasing specifications and monitor open orders within procurement systems.
- Provide responsive support to internal stakeholders throughout the purchasing process.
- Monitor supplier performance across pricing, quality, fulfillment, and service expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Approximately 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, project management, accounts payable, or a related function.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with procurement or job-management systems is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to independently manage responsibilities and take ownership of assigned work.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Work Location
This position is based in the Columbus, OH area and is expected to require onsite work approximately 30% of the time.
