Head of Brand - DTC Consumer Wellness


Our firm is partnering with a rapidly expanding consumer wellness-technology company to hire a Head of Brand. This leader will guide brand identity, storytelling, and cross-channel expression for a high-visibility product line rooted in health, sustainability, and science-backed innovation.

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a brand builder who can translate product benefits and category leadership into a powerful narrative that drives awareness, trust, and long-term loyalty. This role will oversee brand development across digital, retail, marketplace, and experiential channels, partnering closely with product, creative, and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive, elevated brand presence. The Head of Brand will be at the center of crafting how the brand shows up, visually, verbally, and experientially, while leading the development of campaigns, messaging frameworks, and creative systems that support both immediate growth and long-term equity.


Core Responsibilities

Brand Vision & Strategic Development

  • Define and evolve the brand’s positioning, voice, and identity across all touch points.
  • Lead the strategic foundation for campaigns, messaging, storytelling, and content across DTC and omnichannel environments.
  • Translate consumer insights and market data into compelling brand narratives and creative direction.
  • Serve as a key partner in shaping long-term brand strategy and go-to-market planning for new product innovations.

Creative & Campaign Leadership

  • Oversee the development of integrated brand campaigns, from ideation to execution, spanning social, web, video, broadcast, and experiential channels.
  • Guide internal and external creative teams, ensuring work is on-brief, emotionally resonant, and consistent with brand standards.
  • Build systems and frameworks that elevate the quality and consistency of creative output.

Cross-Channel Brand Expression

  • Ensure the brand experience is unified across DTC, marketplaces, retail partners, customer communications, packaging, and product education.
  • Collaborate with performance, lifecycle, and e-commerce teams to align creative and messaging to growth objectives without compromising brand equity.
  • Maintain and expand brand guidelines to support scalable storytelling across the organization.

Consumer Insights & Market Positioning

  • Use research, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to uncover opportunities for differentiation.
  • Track market trends to help define category whitespace and inform brand evolution.
  • Partner with product teams to ensure features, benefits, and innovations are translated into meaningful consumer value propositions.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop a team of brand managers, designers, copywriters, and cross-functional partners.
  • Foster a culture that values creativity, experimentation, and strategic discipline.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to champion brand priorities and communicate progress, insights, and recommendations.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 8 to 12+ years of progressive brand leadership experience within consumer goods, wellness, lifestyle, or other brand-centric categories.
  • Strong background in building and executing integrated brand campaigns.
  • Proven ability to shape brand identity and storytelling across digital and physical environments.
  • Experience collaborating with creative, product, and performance teams in fast-paced, high-growth organizations.
  • Exceptional communication, creative direction, and leadership capabilities.
