Program Manager, West Coast (Automotive Digital Tools Program)
Our agency has been engaged by a leading automotive brand to identify a Program Manager who will oversee a growing suite of certified digital tools used across their West Coast dealership network. This individual will guide the strategy, performance, and ongoing evolution of a multi-product program designed to strengthen online shopper engagement and drive qualified leads for dealerships.
This is a high-visibility, client-facing position suited for someone who enjoys program ownership, strategic consulting, and collaborating with both corporate teams and external vendors.
What You’ll Own
In this role, you will serve as the central point of contact for a digital tools program that includes trade-in valuation platforms, chat/SMS solutions, test-drive scheduling tools, inventory syndication services, and additional offerings as the portfolio expands.
You will be responsible for:
Program Leadership & Strategy
- Oversee the overall health, operations, and roadmap for the certified digital tools program across the West Coast region.
- Ensure program direction aligns with client goals, market needs, and dealership success metrics.
- Evaluate current performance and recommend enhancements to improve engagement, conversions, and dealer adoption.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Act as a trusted consultant and subject matter expert on digital tools and dealership web performance.
- Lead meetings, deliver program updates, and provide clear guidance to clients, field teams, and certified vendors.
- Maintain strong, proactive relationships with client stakeholders to support program growth and alignment.
Performance Measurement & Insights
- Define key success metrics and analyze digital tool usage and conversion results to measure effectiveness.
- Translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations for program optimization.
- Deliver reporting that clearly communicates trends, wins, challenges, and opportunities.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage certified vendor partners to ensure compliance with program standards and KPIs.
- Oversee integrations, onboarding, dealer servicing expectations, and timely performance reporting.
- Hold vendors accountable to agreed-upon service levels and quality standards.
Planning & Execution
- Develop quarterly plans to track key initiatives and ensure objectives are met.
- Prioritize competing projects, adapt to shifting needs, and break strategy into actionable workflows.
Who Will Thrive in This Role
- 3+ years of account or program management experience with demonstrated success in a client-facing environment.
- Strong ability to consult, guide, and influence clients with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and online customer journey tactics; automotive digital experience is very helpful, but not required.
- Confident communicator with polished presentation skills and ease leading discussions with groups.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis, dashboards) and solid working knowledge of other MS Office tools.
- Comfortable working with analytics, web reporting, or tag management platforms (experience is a plus).
- Prior exposure to eCommerce or dealership operations is a bonus.
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving ability and exceptional attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Compensation
The estimated base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $100,000, depending on experience, location, and overall alignment with client needs. Final offer will be based on several factors including skill set and market considerations.
