Staff Accountant, AR and NetSuite

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant on a contract to support their accounting team during a period of steady operational activity. This role is being recruited by a third-party staffing partner on behalf of the client.
This opportunity is ideal for a detail-driven accounting professional who enjoys structured work, well-defined processes, and making a tangible impact in accounts receivable and billing operations. The environment is collaborative, organized, and execution focused.
What You’ll Work On
- Own day-to-day accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, cash application, and maintaining accurate customer billing records.
- Support contract-based billing, updating subscriptions related to renewals, amendments, and customer changes.
- Perform account reconciliations, investigating variances and resolving discrepancies with precision.
- Operate within established accounting workflows, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely execution.
- Use NetSuite to review transactions, maintain records, and support AR and GL processes. Deeper hands-on system work is welcomed but not required.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure billing accuracy and smooth downstream reporting.
What Will Set You Up for Success
- Experience in a Staff Accountant or AR-focused accounting role, ideally supporting recurring or contract-driven billing.
- Strong attention to detail with a natural inclination to dig into discrepancies and get things right.
- Prior exposure to NetSuite or a comparable ERP, with confidence navigating the system and understanding data flow.
- Familiarity with subscription billing, contract renewals, amendments, and customer account maintenance.
- Comfort handling a blend of billing types, including contract invoicing, limited milestone billing, and some time and materials activity.
- Ability to support close-related tasks as needed while keeping AR operations running smoothly.
