Mobile Developer (Flutter / Android / iOS)

Location: Remote

Type: Contract to Hire | Full-Time Hours

We’re representing a forward-thinking fintech company that is transforming how people manage and connect with their finances. They are seeking a Mobile Developer who brings both technical skill and creative problem-solving, someone who can own projects end to end and deliver an exceptional mobile experience for users.

You will join a nimble engineering team that values craftsmanship, innovation, and collaboration. This is a contract-to-hire role designed for someone who enjoys autonomy, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to make an immediate impact with room to grow long term.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead development and ongoing improvements of a Flutter-based mobile app across both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Partner with design, product, and backend teams to create seamless, reliable, and engaging user experiences.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and SDKs, including Plaid or similar financial data aggregation tools, to enable secure account connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, enhance performance, and ensure consistent app stability.
  • Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and testing.
  • Participate in architectural decisions and contribute ideas to the mobile product roadmap.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience in mobile app development.
  • Deep understanding of Flutter and Dart, with at least one production app in market.
  • Working knowledge of Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) development.
  • Experience with Plaid or similar financial APIs is a strong advantage.
  • Solid grasp of RESTful APIs, OAuth, and secure data management.
  • Excellent communication, accountability, and time management skills. Must be comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech, digital banking, or payments environments.
  • Familiarity with UX best practices and accessibility design principles.
  • Knowledge of app store submissions, release management, and CI/CD workflows.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Opportunity to shape a core product at an early stage and see your work directly impact users.
  • Contract-to-hire path with potential to convert to full-time based on performance.
  • 100 percent remote flexibility and an outcome-driven culture.
  • Direct collaboration with founders and senior engineers who value innovation and transparency.
  • Competitive hourly rate and long-term career growth potential.
