Credit Analyst, Invoice to Cash

Contract Opportunity - Global Enterprise Technology Company

About the Opportunity

We are supporting a rapidly growing technology company seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join its Invoice to Cash organization on a contract basis.

The Invoice to Cash team oversees the financial lifecycle between a signed customer order and receipt of payment, including credit risk, billing support, collections, and cash application.

This role will focus heavily on commercial credit analysis and risk management, helping the organization make thoughtful decisions around customer credit limits, payment terms, order releases, fraud risk, and ongoing customer exposure.

The company serves customers ranging from emerging businesses to large global enterprises. Because customer usage and financial exposure can change quickly, this individual will play an important role in balancing risk management with supporting continued commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform commercial credit reviews for new and existing B2B customers and recommend credit limits, payment terms, prepayment requirements, or other risk controls.
  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, payment history, exposure, and other risk indicators to make informed credit recommendations.
  • Review customer and transaction activity for potential fraud or account-opening risk and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Evaluate order release requests involving customers with past-due balances, balancing collection risk with commercial considerations.
  • Maintain clear documentation supporting credit decisions, exceptions, and collectibility assessments under ASC 606.
  • Monitor existing customers for changes in payment behavior, financial exposure, or external indicators that may signal increased credit risk.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Collections, Revenue Accounting, and Legal teams.
  • Track credit review volume, turnaround times, exposure, decisions, and outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve credit policies, procedures, risk thresholds, and workflows as the business scales.
  • Explore opportunities to automate routine credit reviews and monitoring through technology and AI-enabled tools.
  • Support internal and external audits, SOX controls, and related documentation.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience performing commercial/B2B credit analysis and making recommendations under established credit policies.
  • Ability to analyze company financial statements and third-party credit reports and translate findings into clear credit recommendations.
  • Experience documenting credit decisions to an audit-ready standard.
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 and the role credit assessments play in collectibility analysis.
  • Strong judgment when balancing credit risk against customer relationships and revenue opportunities.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain financial and risk decisions to non-Finance stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for exposure analysis, reporting, and decision support.

Preferred Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in commercial credit, credit risk, accounts receivable, or a related discipline.
  • Experience within B2B software, SaaS, technology, or another high-growth environment.
  • Experience helping build or scale a credit function, including policies, procedures, tooling, or risk frameworks.
  • Experience with order hold and release processes and direct partnership with Sales organizations.
  • Experience identifying first-party, account-opening, or commercial fraud.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Tesorio, HighRadius, Billtrust, or Growfin.
  • Experience with commercial credit data providers such as Dun & Bradstreet, Moody's, Experian, or Creditsafe.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Stripe, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting SOX controls or audit requests within credit or accounts receivable.
  • Comfort using AI-enabled tools in day-to-day financial operations.
  • Basic SQL skills are a plus.

Why This Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing technology organization at an important stage of its financial operations maturity. The Credit Analyst will have meaningful influence over how the company evaluates customer risk, scales its credit processes, and introduces automation into the function.

The role offers significant cross-functional exposure and the opportunity to help shape a credit program rather than simply operate within an established one.
