Data Analyst, Workday Financials Implementation

Contract: 12 months

Location: Irvine, CA, hybrid 3 days onsite

What you will own

  • Data discovery: Inventory finance data across legacy systems. Document structures, hierarchies, and mappings required for Workday.
  • Collection and cleansing: Pull datasets from systems and SMEs. Clean, normalize, and transform to meet migration templates and quality rules. Resolve gaps, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
  • Validation and readiness: Verify accuracy and completeness with finance SMEs. Stage datasets for mock loads. Support reconciliations and audit checks after each load.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Align with regional finance to confirm requirements, coach SMEs on templates and timelines, escalate issues early, and drive resolution.
  • Program collaboration: Coordinate activities with the global migration plan. Join mapping workshops, rehearsals, and mock loads.
  • Documentation and reporting: Maintain inventories, mappings, validation logs, and issue registers. Provide concise weekly status reports to regional and central teams.


What you bring

  • Proven experience in finance data migration, ideally Workday Financials
  • Strong understanding of finance data and accounting concepts
  • Hands on skills in cleansing, transformation, and validation for large datasets
  • Proficiency with Excel and SQL
  • Clear communication, strong organization, and comfort managing multiple data streams
  • Ability to work independently within a structured program
  • Based in or able to work from Irvine, CA on a hybrid schedule

  • Current regional data inventory and mapping documentation
  • Cleansed and validated datasets ready for each migration cycle
  • Tracked issues with clear ownership and closure
  • Timely, accurate weekly migration status reports
