Epic HIM Analyst (Long Term/Remote Contract)
Location: Remote (U.S.) with periodic on-site travel

About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading healthcare organization undergoing a large-scale Epic implementation and optimization initiative. This is a high-impact opportunity to join a well-funded, multi-year program supporting enterprise-wide clinical and revenue cycle transformation.
The team is seeking an experienced Epic HIM Analyst to support Health Information Management workflows, data integrity, and regulatory compliance efforts within Epic.
What You’ll Do
- Support Epic HIM application build, configuration, and optimization
- Partner with clinical, operations, and IT teams to improve HIM workflows and documentation processes
- Lead and support design sessions, system testing (SIT/UAT), and go-live readiness
- Ensure alignment with regulatory standards (HIPAA, Joint Commission, CMS)
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing production support and enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional Epic teams (e.g., Revenue Cycle, Clinical Apps, Interfaces)
- Assist with data governance, chart completion, deficiency tracking, and release of information workflows
- Support end-user training, documentation, and adoption efforts
What We’re Looking For
- Epic HIM Certification (required)
- 7+ years of experience working with Epic HIM module in a healthcare environment
- Experience supporting full lifecycle Epic implementations (build, test, go-live, optimization)
- Strong understanding of Health Information Management operations
- Familiarity with:
- Chart completion and deficiency management
- Release of Information (ROI)
- Document management and scanning workflows
- Experience working in large, complex health systems or enterprise environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience with Epic integrations or modules adjacent to HIM (e.g., ROI, Identity, Deficiency Tracking)
- Exposure to Epic Bridges or interface workflows
- Prior experience in multi-hospital or academic medical center environments
