Title: Senior Marketing Manager – Credit Cards


Location: Remote (U.S.)

Type: Full-Time

Our client, a fast-growing financial technology company with a focus on credit union partnerships, is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to lead performance-driven campaigns for a suite of credit card products. About the Role

The Senior Marketing Manager will own campaign execution and portfolio marketing strategies designed to deepen cardholder relationships, boost utilization, and expand member adoption across several credit union programs. Reporting directly to the COO, this position blends strategic thinking with hands-on marketing execution, requiring someone who can balance creativity, analytics, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Campaign Management & Execution

  • Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, print, email, SMS, and in-branch channels.
  • Manage timelines, creative briefs, and deliverables across multiple portfolios simultaneously.
  • Lead copy development and guide creative direction, partnering with internal and external designers.
  • Coordinate with offshore or freelance contributors and manage vendor relationships to ensure seamless campaign delivery.

Portfolio Growth & Member Engagement

  • Develop targeted acquisition campaigns to increase card adoption among credit union members.
  • Create retention and engagement strategies to reduce attrition and drive spending activity.
  • Manage ongoing cardholder communications, including promotional offers, statement messaging, and lifecycle campaigns.
  • Analyze results to refine messaging and improve ROI across portfolio budgets.

Performance Analytics & Optimization

  • Review campaign reports and translate insights into clear recommendations for improvement.
  • Track and evaluate KPIs such as member penetration, utilization, and attrition.
  • Present actionable updates and growth recommendations to executive stakeholders.
  • Continuously test and optimize marketing approaches based on performance data.

Compliance, Operations & Brand Alignment

  • Partner with Compliance and issuing banks to ensure all materials meet regulatory standards.
  • Maintain consistent brand presence across multiple credit union partners while tailoring to individual brand requirements.
  • Oversee the marketing calendar and coordinate resources across ongoing campaigns.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience in financial services, ideally with credit unions or credit card products.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple marketing initiatives across channels and teams.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with CFPB and other financial marketing regulations.
  • Experience with digital, direct mail, and omnichannel campaigns.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in campaign performance tracking and optimization.

Preferred

  • Prior experience managing credit union or community banking campaigns.
  • Experience leading or coordinating remote and offshore contributors.
  • Knowledge of credit card industry trends and competitive positioning.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools.
