The company distributes nationally recognized brands across smoke shops, convenience stores, and gas stations throughout the U.S. With strong market presence and continued expansion underway, this role offers the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing sales organization from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and coach an existing team of sales representatives across multiple territories
- Conduct weekly sales meetings focused on KPIs, account performance, product focus, and execution priorities
- Develop accountability systems that improve consistency, visibility, and performance across the team
- Support hiring, onboarding, and future expansion of the sales organization
- Accompany reps in the field to provide coaching, support, and market insight
Sales Operations & Performance Management
- Analyze sales trends, account health, and product performance across distributor accounts
- Monitor KPIs, receivables, activity levels, and territory performance
- Identify at-risk accounts proactively and implement recovery strategies before issues escalate
- Help implement and optimize a CRM platform to improve visibility and sales tracking
- Build reporting frameworks and dashboards that drive smarter decision-making
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with leadership and marketing support teams to execute field initiatives and sales promotions
- Help ensure sales reps are equipped with the right tools, communication, and product focus each week
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to improve execution and scalability across the business
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of sales experience working within distribution, wholesale, route-based sales, CPG, convenience retail, beverage, tobacco, or other fast-moving sales environments.
- Proven success managing and developing high-performing sales teams
- Build scalable accountability systems, KPI frameworks, reporting cadences, and proactive sales processes across the organization.
- Experience implementing or managing CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
- Entrepreneurial mentality with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- People-first leadership style focused on coaching, accountability, and team development
Preferred Experience
- Background supporting distributor-based sales organizations
- Experience building or scaling sales teams
- Exposure to field marketing initiatives, trade shows, or territory management

Compensation
Base Salary: $100K-$110K
Quarterly Performance Bonus: Up to ~$80,000 annually
Year 1 On-Target Earnings: ~$190,000+
