JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Superintendent to serve as a decisive field leader responsible for fostering accountability and driving schedule discipline across multiple commercial job sites. This individual will manage roving oversight, ensuring that safety, quality, and execution standards are met while bridging the communication gap between Project Managers and field teams.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Superintendent will hold Foremen accountable to execution standards and provide coaching to field leadership. This role requires a process-oriented professional who is comfortable making field decisions and operating in a high-accountability environment. This role is not a tools-on position. The Superintendent provides oversight, decision-making, and accountability rather than performing day-to-day electrical work.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Roving Field Oversight: Provide daily oversight across 3–5 commercial job sites to ensure operational excellence.
- Standard Enforcement: Enforce strict adherence to safety, quality, cleanliness, and project schedules.
- Accountability Management: Hold Foremen accountable to 2-week lookaheads and high execution standards.
- Strategic Communication: Act as the primary bridge between Project Managers and field teams to ensure alignment.
- Decision Making: Make informed field decisions within project parameters and escalate issues to the PM when necessary.
- Leadership Coaching: Support and coach field leadership (Foremen) to improve performance without performing "tools-on" work.
- Efficiency Optimization: Work to reduce PM intervention by resolving field-level bottlenecks independently.
- Schedule Discipline: Maintain rigorous schedule discipline and represent the company confidently when facing General Contractors.
