JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager will oversee commercial electrical projects from start to finish, ensuring all timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. This role includes supervising a superintendent, collaborating with field personnel, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, inspectors, and internal teams.
The role requires a balance of field oversight, project administration, and relationship management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Oversee all assigned commercial electrical projects through completion.
• Supervise and support the superintendent who oversees foremen, mechanics, and apprentices.
• Conduct weekly site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Attend scheduling meetings and weekly L10 meetings.
• Manage change orders, RFIs, project timelines, budgets, and project documentation.
• Prepare and review AIA billing, POs, buyout packages, and cost codes.
• Collaborate closely with the estimating team and assist with take-offs as needed.
• Coordinate with electrical inspectors, utility companies, and GC Project Managers.
• Ensure project start-up is completed correctly and the Project Coordinator has all required information.
• Approve timecards for direct and indirect field staff.
• Maintain strong relationships with GCs and provide excellent customer service.
• Support after-hours urgent calls as needed.
• Uphold company core values at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
• 10+ years of experience in the commercial electrical industry, including:
o 6+ years in the field
o 4+ years as a Project Manager.
• Experience with AccuBid or similar estimating software.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• OSHA 30 (can be completed after hire; the company pays for the course, but it must be done on the employee’s own time).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.
SALARY RANGE
• Salary: $85,000-$95,000
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Work Modality: ~80% in-office and ~20% in the field.
• Weekly site visits required.
• Fast-paced environment with active jobsite coordination.
• After-hours availability required as project needs arise.
