JOB DESCRIPTION


The Accountant will play a critical hands-on role in supporting the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy across multiple billing systems and accounting processes. Reporting directly to the Accounting Lead, the Accountant will handle daily reconciliations, general ledger activities, financial accuracy checks, and month-end close support across several portals and revenue streams.


This position requires a highly detail-oriented, analytical, and self-directed individual who thrives in a fast-changing environment. The ideal candidate is someone who prefers heads-down work, enjoys working with numbers, solves problems independently, and can adapt quickly as processes evolve.


This is a hybrid position based in Lewes, Delaware, requiring 2 - 3 days per week onsite.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


  • Maintain daily accuracy of financial data across multiple systems and portals.
  • Perform general ledger accounting, month-end close support, and daily bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate transfer of financial information between systems such as QuickBooks Online, ConnectWise, and ConnectBooster.
  • Review and validate billing for MSP, VoIP, and Cabling services, each with different billing structures.
  • Monitor, reconcile, and categorize credit card transactions; ensure supporting documentation is received and matched.
  • Ensure that all billed items appear correctly in client portals and internal systems.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding discrepancies, invoices, and payment inquiries.
  • Process and manage credit memos, client account checks, and adjustments.
  • Serve as frontline support for vendor-related financial questions.
  • Handle daily data integrity checks to ensure all portals reflect accurate and consistent financial information.
  • Assist in refining processes as the company continues scaling rapidly.



REQUIREMENTS


  • 2+ years of hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Proven ability to conduct daily reconciliations and support the month-end close process.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, accurate, and comfortable working with changing data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative and “figure things out” with minimal direction.
  • High adaptability; capable of working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Confidence in decision-making without requiring extensive oversight.
  • Preference for heads-down work.
  • Must pass a credit check, criminal background check, and drug screen.




EDUCATION


  • High school diploma or equivalent required. (No bachelor’s degree requirement specified.)




COMPENSATION PACKAGE


  • Salary Range: $50,000 – $65,000 (depending on experience).



WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Hybrid role based in Lewes, Delaware, with 2 - 3 days onsite per week.
  • Standard office hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Candidates must live within 35 minutes of Lewes (Sussex County preferred).
  • Minimal customer interaction (approximately 5%).
  • No travel required beyond standard commute.
