About the Role


This role is responsible for estimating and selling profitable jobs while ensuring an outstanding customer experience. It blends sales, field inspections, customer communication, and detailed job estimation. The Estimator has a direct impact on company culture, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

This is a hybrid role based in Fairfax, Virginia.



Essential Job Functions


• Deliverables: 

  • Maintain 4.9/5 Positive Customer Satisfaction Rating (Google, Yelp, BBB, Houzz, etc.) 
  • Sell projects in step with the annual goals of the company.
  • Maintain a minimum gross profit percentage in alignment with company goals 
  • Maintain 4.9/5 company's Patriotism Rating 


• Accountabilities: 


  • Respond to customer inquiries the same day (or next business day if after hours).
  • Communicate proactively to resolve customer concerns; escalate when necessary.
  • Facilitate sales agreements, deposits, and final payments.
  • Use CRM to document all client interactions, notes, measurements, and sales documents.
  • Follow the company’s 8-Step Sales Process.
  • Perform thorough inspections, including:
  • Detailed measurements
  • Walking roofs
  • Climbing ladders
  • Accessing attics
  • Use estimating tools and company-approved formulas to produce accurate estimates.
  • Attend weekly sales planning meetings.
  • Maintain productive and positive communication with installation teams, supply partners, and internal departments.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement of SOPs.
  • Display and reinforce company values through daily interactions.



Requirements


  • Willingness to travel long distances daily.
  • Strong communication and customer service orientation.
  • Growth mindset and resilience under pressure.
  • Comfortable with physical aspects of the job:
  • Ladder use
  • Roof walking
  • Attic access
  • Experience in sales, estimating, home improvement, construction, roofing, or similar industries (preferred).
  • Strong CRM discipline and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline and deliver consistent results.



Education


  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Sales, or related field).
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered.



Compensation Package


  • A compensation package is a combination of salary and commission.
  • Base salary: ~$55k
  • Commissions: ~3%
  • Additional: Monthly bonuses based on KPIs
  • 1st Year OTE: ~$100k
  • 2nd Year OTE: ~$150k
  • 3rd Year OTE: $200k+ possible for top performers



 Working Conditions


  • A hybrid role based in Fairfax, Virginia, not reporting to the office every day, will report to appointments.
  • Standard office hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Candidates must live within 35 minutes of Fairfax, Virginia 22031.
  • A company vehicle and gas card are provided.
