Travel

Approximately 50%+. Travel typically involves 2 nights and 3 days per week or less in the field. In person, meetings are required.

The Opportunity

The Sales Director, Annuity Distribution, is a strategic sales leader responsible for driving Fixed Index Annuity production through an established network of elite financial advisors. This role focuses on deepening relationships with high performing advisors who already sell the product portfolio and expanding wallet share within those existing relationships. The Sales Director works closely with a select group of highly successful advisors who generate significant annuity production. Advisors qualify for the program through strong quarterly production and maintain high annual production levels to remain active. The role requires a consultative wholesaling mindset that focuses on understanding each advisor’s practice, client base, and product mix in order to identify opportunities to increase production. Rather than recruiting new advisors, the role is centered on strengthening existing partnerships, analyzing advisor businesses, and capturing additional share of business that may currently be placed with competing carriers.

 

Responsibilities

·      Drive Fixed Index Annuity sales growth through relationships with established, high producing financial advisors already selling the product portfolio.

·      Execute primarily in person and occasional virtual sales presentations supporting annuity sales initiatives and product education.

·      Develop deep partnerships with elite advisors and their teams to expand wallet share and increase product usage across their client base.

·      Analyze advisor businesses to identify opportunities to grow production, introduce additional solutions, and capture business currently placed with competitors.

·      Maintain strong relationships with distribution partners, marketers, and independent distribution companies that support advisor relationships.

·      Collaborate with distribution leadership to execute sales strategy and respond to market and competitive trends.

·      Represent the sales team in cross functional initiatives and contribute to enterprise alignment across product, marketing, and distribution.

·      Operate in a highly competitive annuity marketplace while maintaining a consultative approach to advisor engagement.

 

Qualifications, skills, and experience

Requirements

·      Experience in financial services, including annuity wholesaling.

·      Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding annuity sales targets.

·      Experience selling Fixed Index Annuities or Variable Annuities.

·      Experience working with financial advisors directly or through marketers and Independent Distribution Companies.

·      Active insurance license required.

·      Experience managing and growing advisor relationships across multiple financial products.

·      Strong presentation, communication, and closing skills.

·      Ability to work with sophisticated financial advisors serving high-net-worth clients.

·      Competitive, self-motivated, and results-oriented.

·      Strong discipline and accountability in a performance-driven sales environment.

·      Ability to operate in a fast-paced and collaborative organization.

Preferences

·      Experience working with registered representatives and asset gathering advisors.

·      Securities licenses such as Series 6, Series 7, or Series 63.

·      Previous experience growing wallet share within established advisor relationships.

·      Familiarity with distribution through marketers or Independent Distribution Companies.
