Maintenance Technician (Full-Time)
Location: SE Calgary Industrial Area
Pay: $25–$35/hr depending on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
We are partnering with a growing industrial manufacturing organization in Calgary to find a Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability, production uptime, and facility operations in a hands-on industrial environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and keeping operations running safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will bring experience supporting manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and preventative maintenance programs, with the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with production and operations teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
Preventative Maintenance, Scheduling & Reliability
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and internal procedures
- Support the development, updating, and execution of preventative maintenance schedules based on equipment criticality and performance history
- Conduct inspections of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify wear, risk, or future maintenance needs
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and preventative maintenance practices
- Participate in root cause analysis related to equipment failures and recurring issues
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, findings, repairs, and completed work orders
Reactive Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using appropriate diagnostic methods
- Escalate or coordinate repairs with external service providers or OEMs when required
- Respond to maintenance issues in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
Spare Parts & Inventory Support
- Assist in managing maintenance spare parts and consumables to support uptime and critical repairs
- Help identify and maintain inventory of critical replacement components
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend parts reordering as needed
- Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to source replacement parts and maintenance materials
Equipment & Systems You May Support
- CNC machinery (lathes and mills)
- Laser cutting equipment
- Air compressors and compressed air systems
- Saws and material processing equipment
- Forklifts and material handling equipment
- General facility systems and infrastructure as required
Documentation & Safety
- Read and interpret technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, manuals, and reports
- Utilize maintenance software or tracking systems to document work, manage PM schedules, and complete work orders
- Identify and report hazards, unsafe conditions, and equipment risks
- Follow all company safety procedures, including WHMIS, SDS/MSDS, lockout/tagout, and safe work practices
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Skills & Experience

3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
- Strong hands-on ability with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Experience supporting or maintaining industrial equipment and machinery
- Working knowledge of hydraulic systems up to 3,000 PSI
- Experience with air compressors and compressed air systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation
- Strong time management and task prioritization skills
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Nice-to-Haves
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent technical training
- Experience using maintenance management software (CMMS)
- Previous experience in a CNC or industrial fabrication environment
