Job Title: Strategic Marketing Manager
Location: Remote (open to candidates located within British Columbia)
Type: Permanent
Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 annually, dependent on experience
We are partnered with a well-established, municipally owned telecommunications organization serving communities across northern and coastal British Columbia. With a strong reputation for reliability and community engagement, the organization continues to expand its services and strengthen its presence across the region. They are seeking a Strategic Marketing Manager to help shape how the organization connects with customers, communities, and markets as it continues to grow and evolve.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, results-driven marketing leader who enjoys transforming ideas into impactful campaigns, strengthening brand presence, and driving meaningful engagement. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, this role will play a critical part in elevating the organization’s marketing function and positioning the brand for continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Marketing Leadership
- Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with corporate objectives and growth priorities
- Translate business priorities into actionable marketing plans, campaigns, and initiatives
- Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity to strengthen regional market positioning
Brand & Communications
- Maintain brand integrity across all customer and community touchpoints
- Oversee development of messaging, storytelling, marketing materials, and creative assets
- Support corporate communications, announcements, and community engagement initiatives
- Lead community-focused marketing initiatives that strengthen relationships across service areas
Campaign & Digital Marketing
- Plan, execute, and evaluate multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive awareness, acquisition, and retention
- Oversee website content, digital marketing initiatives, and social media presence
- Track campaign performance and optimize strategies using data and analytics
- Utilize marketing and ERP systems to support promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives
Revenue & Growth Alignment
- Partner closely with Sales and Customer Experience teams to support lead generation, service adoption, and retention strategies
- Align marketing initiatives with product launches, service expansions, and organizational growth priorities
- Monitor marketing performance and its contribution to revenue and customer engagement
Vendor & Budget Management
- Manage marketing budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources
- Oversee relationships with agencies, designers, media partners, and other vendors
- Support philanthropic and community initiatives that align with the organization’s values
Team Leadership
- Provide direction, coaching, and mentorship to marketing team members
- Foster collaboration across departments to ensure integrated campaign execution
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of progressive marketing experience, including several years in a strategic or leadership capacity
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns
- Strong experience managing digital marketing channels and analytics tools
- Familiarity with marketing software platforms and data-driven marketing approaches
- Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience within telecommunications, utilities, or service-based industries (will be considered a strong asset)
