Automation / Robotics Technician

$35 – $39/hr | Day Shift | PLC Programming | RSLogix | Robotics


• Allen Bradley PLC programming (RSLogix / Studio 5000)

Robotics troubleshooting & program modification (ABB / Fanuc preferred)

• Vision systems – Keyence / Cognex cameras & sensors



We’re actively hiring an Automation / Robotics Technician to support robotic welding cells and automated manufacturing systems in a high-volume production environment.

This role focuses on robot troubleshooting, PLC programming, and automation support, ensuring robotic systems, vision systems, and automated equipment operate reliably and efficiently.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on robotics and PLC experience who enjoys working in a highly automated manufacturing environment.



Hourly Pay:

$35 – $39 per hour + profit sharing + OT after 40 hours



Key Responsibilities


Robotics & Automation Support


  • Troubleshoot and maintain robotic welding systems
  • Modify and adjust robot programs
  • Support robotic cell setup, optimization, and maintenance
  • Assist operators and production teams with robotic equipment issues


PLC Programming & Controls


  • Troubleshoot and modify Allen Bradley PLC programs
  • Work with RSLogix / Studio 5000 platforms
  • Diagnose automation faults and implement corrective actions


Vision Systems & Sensors


  • Support and troubleshoot vision inspection systems


Work with systems such as:

  • Keyence cameras
  • Cognex vision systems
  • Barcode scanners and sensors
  • Maintain sensor networks and automated inspection systems


Automation Troubleshooting


  • Diagnose issues with robotic welding equipment and automated production systems
  • Support preventative maintenance programs for automation equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve complex automation issues


Continuous Improvement


  • Assist with improvements to robotic welding processes
  • Support automation upgrades and system optimization
  • Participate in initiatives focused on improving reliability, quality, and cycle time


Qualifications


  • Post-secondary education in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • Strong experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Experience using RSLogix or Studio 5000
  • Robotics troubleshooting and program modification experience
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills


Preferred


  • Experience with robot platforms such as ABB, Fanuc, or Panasonic
  • Experience with vision systems (Keyence, Cognex)


Work Environment


  • High-volume automated manufacturing environment
  • Work with advanced robotics, PLC systems, and vision inspection technology
  • Collaborative team environment supporting production and engineering
