Salary: $85,000- $95,000
Shift: Days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), with flexibility during critical production periods
Overview
This is a high-impact manufacturing engineering role focused on improving performance across an active production environment.
The plant is coming off recent launches where scrap and downtime are above target. Leadership is focused on driving measurable cost savings and operational improvements on the shop floor.
This role will be responsible for identifying inefficiencies, prioritizing high-impact issues, and delivering tangible results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues including downtime, scrap, and inefficiencies
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and throughput
- Analyze production data to identify high-impact improvement opportunities
- Work cross-functionally with operators, maintenance, and leadership teams
- Implement process changes through established control and change management systems
- Support and guide technical operators and shop floor personnel
- Balance reactive problem-solving with proactive continuous improvement
Success Measures
- Reduction in scrap (target ~3%) and downtime
- Measurable contribution to plant cost-saving initiatives
- Improved production stability across key lines
- Strong prioritization of high-impact issues over day-to-day noise
