About the Role
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will define and execute the global marketing strategy as the company scales a category-defining platform. This role owns the full marketing function, including positioning, narrative, demand generation, ecosystem growth, and brand, with a mandate to drive adoption, awareness, and long-term network effects. Reporting to the CEO, the CMO will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Ecosystem teams to translate complex technical innovation into clear market narratives and effective go-to-market execution. This role is well suited for a hands-on leader who thrives in technical, fast-moving environments.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the global marketing strategy aligned with brand, product, and growth initiatives
- Define and evolve positioning, messaging, and narrative across developers, partners, enterprises, and ecosystem participants
- Build and scale go-to-market strategies for product launches, network growth, and ecosystem adoption
- Lead demand generation, content, community, PR, and ecosystem marketing efforts
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to translate technical innovation into market-ready messaging
- Establish marketing KPIs, analytics, and reporting to measure impact and ROI
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team and manage agency partners
- Support strategic partnerships, events, and thought leadership initiatives
- Ensure brand consistency and credibility across all channels and touchpoints
Requirements
- 10+ years of marketing leadership experience, including VP- or C-level roles
- Proven experience building and scaling marketing functions in high-growth technology companies
- Strong background in technical, product-led, or developer-focused marketing
- Ability to craft clear narratives for complex products and emerging technologies
- Experience partnering closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams
- Data-driven mindset with strong intuition for brand and positioning
- Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Experience working with globally distributed, remote-first teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in crypto, blockchain, AI/ML, or decentralized systems
- Background in developer ecosystems, protocols, or infrastructure platforms
- Experience scaling marketing from early traction to global adoption
- Familiarity with community-led or ecosystem-driven growth models
- Experience working with technical founders and research-driven teams
