Outside Sales Representative – A&D / Custom Millwork

Salary: $50,000 a year


Our client is a privately held, design-driven custom millwork company working on high-end residential and commercial projects across the GTA. Their work is specification-led, highly customized, and centered around long-term relationships with architects, interior designers, and custom homebuilders.


This is a newly created role focused on growing brand presence and becoming a trusted partner within the A&D community. The successful candidate will already have experience selling into architects and designers and understand how specification-based sales work in a custom environment.


The Opportunity

This is a relationship-driven A&D sales role with high-value projects, long sales cycles, and long-term account ownership. You will represent a premium, highly differentiated product and position yourself as a go-to resource for design professionals working on custom projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow relationships with architects, interior designers, and custom homebuilders across the GTA
  • Proactively identify and pursue new A&D relationships through outreach, networking, and referrals
  • Lead showroom presentations and design discussions (no product samples; presentations are showroom-based)
  • Manage the full sales process on custom, specification-driven projects, including working with internal teams on quotes and specifications
  • Build long-term partnerships and own accounts once relationships are established
  • Represent the brand professionally within the design and construction community


What We’re Looking For

  • 5–6+ years of experience selling to the A&D community (architects, designers, specifiers, builders)
  • Background in custom millwork, cabinetry, architectural products, or high-end building materials
  • Existing relationships within the GTA design / construction market
  • Comfortable with longer sales cycles and custom quoting processes
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; confident in a showroom environment
  • Mature, professional, relationship-oriented approach to sales


Compensation & Structure

  • Base salary plus an uncapped commission structure, with long-term earning potential tied to high-value projects.
