IT Administrator – Permanent, Full-Time (Golden Horseshoe – Onsite)


A leading law firm in the Golden Horseshoe region is seeking a dedicated IT Administrator to provide full-time, onsite IT support and drive technology initiatives across its offices. The successful candidate will manage, optimize, and secure the firm’s IT environment while supporting a high-performing team of lawyers and staff.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain all IT systems, infrastructure, hardware, and software for the firm.
  • Lead technology initiatives, including digitalization projects and system upgrades, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Oversee IT service providers and vendor relationships to ensure effective support across all locations.
  • Implement, audit, and improve IT security protocols and data management practices.
  • Provide first-level IT support to all staff, addressing technical issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Support law firm practice management systems and document management tools, including iManage and other legal-specific software.
  • Monitor and report on IT performance metrics, budgets, and KPIs, proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and user experience.
  • Stay current on emerging IT trends, law firm technology innovations, and cybersecurity developments.
  • Mentor and support junior IT staff, contributing to the development of the IT team and overall technology strategy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum college or university graduate in Information Systems or a related field.
  • Proven IT administration experience, ideally within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge in cybersecurity, networks, servers, and data management.
  • Familiarity with law firm software including iManage, Ghost Practice, PC Law, or similar systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, support, and collaborate with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in the Golden Horseshoe region with an operating vehicle.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and solution-oriented.
