Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for developing new client relationships, managing a book of business, and driving revenue through strategic sales activities. You’ll have autonomy, decision-making authority, and access to strong operational support to help ensure your success.
Duties
• Prospect, qualify, and close new client accounts within target industries.
• Manage and grow an existing book of business with consistent follow-up and relationship building.
• Negotiate rates, terms, and service expectations with customers.
• Stay informed on market conditions, capacity trends, and pricing fluctuations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering strategic logistics solutions
• Proven experience in B2B sales, inside sales, or technology sales with a focus on business development
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
• Familiarity with marketing strategies and telemarketing techniques
• Ability to understand technical products or services and communicate complex information clearly
• Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to building long-term relationships
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet targets in a fast-paced environment
Experience:
• 3+ years of sales experience in a 3PL brokerage, supply chain solutions or freight transportation environment (required).
• Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts with strong attention to detail.
• Self-driven, goal-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
