Production Team Lead
Shift - Sunday–Thursday
Hourly Rate: $28/hour

We are seeking a hands-on Production Team Lead to oversee a team of 15–20 Assemblers in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This is a frontline leadership role responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are achieved on every shift.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 15–20 production associates
- Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable to safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Monitor attendance, approve hours, and provide performance feedback
- Train new hires and cross-train team members to build shift capability
- Provide break relief as needed to support team continuity
Safety & Compliance
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with plant safety rules
- Partner with JHSC to conduct audits and proactively address safety concerns
- Ensure all associates follow company policies and procedures
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Quality Control to ensure first-off approvals and ongoing quality standards
- Lead problem-solving efforts to address scrap, downtime, and defects
- Participate in and help drive Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all Quality Alerts and documentation are communicated and understood by the team
Operational Execution
- Coordinate daily production activities to meet schedule requirements
- Drive workstation setups, tooling adjustments, and process adherence
- Monitor efficiency, scrap, and downtime metrics
- Complete production and inventory reporting accurately and on time
- Support preventive maintenance and trial runs with Engineering and Tooling teams
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience leading teams of 10+ employees preferred
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality systems, and safety standards
- Hands-on leadership style — comfortable being on the floor supporting your team
- Ability to drive accountability while maintaining positive team morale
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Automotive manufacturing experience is considered an asset.
