Electrical/Electromechanical Project Engineer

We are a growing manufacturer in the electrical equipment space adding a Project Engineer to the team. This is a hands-on role with real influence, real complexity, and real growth potential. You will work on products used across residential, commercial, industrial, and utility environments. You will be part of a tight technical group where your ideas get implemented, not buried.

This role requires strong electrical engineering experience and at least 5+ years working with electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. Not suitable for new grads, interns, or junior engineers (sorry).

  • Develop and maintain project documentation including revisions, technical specs, change plans, and stakeholder communication
  • Gain experience working with CSA/UL compliance and regulatory test requirements


What you will work on...

  • Turning concepts into SolidWorks designs and practical solutions
  • Supporting prototypes, testing, and product improvements
  • Building BOMs and supporting work orders in ERP
  • Coordinating with Manufacturing, Quality, Design, Procurement, and Regulatory
  • Managing revisions, documentation, and project communication
  • Generating initial BOMs and WOs in SYSPRO
  • Supporting regulatory test sample planning and external certifications (CSA/UL)
  • Identifying project risks early and driving corrective actions
  • Presenting project updates to internal stakeholders
  • Only candidates with hands-on electrical system design, panel wiring, or electromechanical integration experience will be considered


What you bring:

  • 5+ years industry experience in manufacturing environments
  • Electrical Engineering degree preferred (Mechanical only considered with proven electrical integration experience)
  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems: wiring, schematics, panel work, or electromechanical integration
  • Experience with CSA/UL standards or regulatory testing
  • Solid background in CAD (SolidWorks) and engineering documentation
  • Ability to manage full project cycles in a fast-paced production setting
  • Eligibility toward P.Eng considered an asset
