Mould Set-Up Technician


Woodbridge, ON | Night Shift | 2 Openings

A well-established automotive manufacturing facility is hiring two experienced Mould Set-Up Technicians for its permanent night shift.


Shift: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Pay: $30.00–$32.00 per hour, with flexibility for the right experience

Night Premium: $1.00 per hour


The Role

You will be responsible for completing mould and tooling changeovers, setting up injection moulding equipment, and supporting consistent, high-quality production.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing mould changes, pierce-die changeovers and equipment set-ups
  • Following written set-up instructions and completing required documentation
  • Inspecting presses and tooling and completing safety checklists
  • Monitoring moulding processes and adjusting equipment to maintain quality
  • Troubleshooting set-up and process-related issues
  • Operating forklifts and overhead cranes to move moulds, tooling and materials
  • Supporting production operators and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining a clean, organized and safe work area


What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of injection moulding experience in mould set-up, process engineering or a similar hands-on role
  • Experience completing tooling changes and injection moulding machine set-ups
  • Knowledge of press controls, moulding parameters and material changeovers
  • Ability to work safely around large moulds and equipment in tight production areas
  • Strong mechanical, mathematical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physical manufacturing environment
  • Forklift and crane experience is preferred; training can be provided
  • Availability to work the permanent night shift and overtime when required
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing, inline compounding or plastic compounding with fibreglass would be an asset.
