Outside Sales Representative

Heavy Equipment and Municipal Solutions - Ontario Territory


Overview

We are hiring an Outside Sales Representative to work directly alongside the owner of our partnered client, acting as a key partner in driving revenue growth across Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a relationship-driven sales environment and enjoys being on the road, building business with both public and private sector clients. You will be responsible for selling specialized equipment including garbage trucks, excavators, and street sweepers, working closely with municipalities, contractors, and private operators. This is a high-impact role with strong visibility and the opportunity to play a strategic part in the company’s growth.


Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with municipalities, contractors, and private sector operators across Ontario

Prospect and generate new business opportunities through field visits, networking, and industry engagement

Sell heavy equipment including garbage trucks, excavators, and street sweepers

Work closely with the owner to execute sales strategy and support business expansion initiatives

Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and stay aligned on product offerings and updates

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations

Maintain a strong understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape

Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing


Qualifications

Experience in outside sales, preferably within equipment, automotive, or related industries

Strong relationship-building and communication skills with a consultative sales approach

Comfortable working independently in a field-based role with a high level of autonomy

Experience selling into municipalities or industrial sectors is an asset

Familiarity with heavy equipment such as garbage trucks, excavators, or street sweepers is preferred

Valid driver’s license required; DZ license or willingness to obtain is considered a strong asset

Open to candidates ranging from early-career to experienced industry professionals
