Job Title: Business Development Lead – Private Sector IT niche (Staffing & Recruitment)

Overview:
We are seeking a high-impact Business Development leader to drive expansion into the private sector and contract markets across Canada and the United States. This role is ideal for a strategic, results-oriented professional with a strong background in staffing, recruitment, or workforce solutions, who thrives on building new markets and unlocking untapped revenue streams.
Our organization has an established presence in the public sector, and we are now looking to diversify and grow our footprint within private enterprise—including mid-sized businesses, large corporates, and project-based contract environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a private-sector growth strategy across target industries (e.g., manufacturing, engineering, infrastructure, industrial, or professional services)
- Identify, pursue, and secure new client partnerships in both permanent and contract staffing
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and market mapping
- Leverage existing industry relationships to accelerate market entry and revenue generation
- Collaborate with internal recruiting teams to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to leadership on trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities
- Act as a brand ambassador, representing the firm at industry events and within key client accounts
