Our client is one of Canada's leading food manufacturers, a well-known national brand running a high-volume production facility in the Niagara Region. They're adding a licensed Millwright to their maintenance team.

You'll work on everything from high-speed packaging lines to processing equipment and plant utilities, on a two-shift rotation with a team that takes preventative maintenance seriously.

What you'll be doing

• Daily preventative maintenance on processing equipment, high-speed packaging equipment and ancillary systems
• Troubleshooting and repairing production equipment as issues come up, keeping lines running
• Inspecting machinery to catch irregularities before they turn into downtime
• Dismantling, installing, repairing and testing mechanical equipment, including new installations and construction projects
• Keeping the team informed on downtime, parts and material needs, manpower and uptime
• Documenting completed work accurately
• Working to GMP, food safety, health and safety, and environmental standards

What you bring

• Ontario 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certificate of Qualification (required)
• At least 1 year of experience working as a licensed Millwright
• Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and drawings
• Comfortable working on your own or as part of a crew
• A drive to keep learning and take on every part of the job

Bonus points for

• Experience with SAP or another maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Plant utilities experience: HVAC, low pressure boiler, glycol chiller, compressors

Schedule

Rotating days and afternoons. No nights.

• Days: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
• Afternoons: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm (Shift Premium added) (may run later depending on production)
• Weekends as needed.

• $44.72 per hour, roughly $93,000 a year on base hours before any overtime
