Financial Analyst

Location: Calgary, AB (Downtown, full-time on-site)

Salary: $80,000–$85,000 annually

We are partnered with a growing international Oil & Gas organization seeking a Financial Analyst to join their Calgary office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional with strong technical skills in Excel and reporting who is looking to deepen their finance and accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Support financial reporting activities, including weekly and monthly reporting on sales, margins, and operational results.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Build and maintain financial models to support business decision-making.
• Leverage Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, modeling) and BI tools to create dashboards and enhance reporting efficiency.
• Partner with and report to senior finance leaders in Calgary, providing data-driven insights to support business operations.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, models, complex functions).
• Experience with financial modeling; ability to create and maintain models.
• Exposure to BI tools (Power BI preferred); dashboard creation is an asset.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and reconciliations.
• Pursuit of a CPA designation is encouraged but not required.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to communicate findings effectively.
