Salary: $95,000 – $110,000
Shift: Days, with flexibility required during program launches
Overview
This role is focused on supporting new program launches and ensuring successful execution from equipment kick-off through production ramp-up.
The business currently has two active programs (GM and Stellantis) and is strengthening its capability to deliver stable, high-performing launches. Previous challenges have included scrap, downtime, and ramp-up inefficiencies.
This hire will play a critical role in ensuring new programs meet performance targets from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing engineering activities for new program launches
- Support projects from equipment kick-off through full production ramp-up
- Manage capital equipment procurement and supplier coordination
- Ensure robust process design to minimize scrap and downtime at launch
- Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) input
- Integrate and support automation systems including robotics, PLCs, vision systems, and indexing equipment
- Provide technical leadership during launch execution on the shop floor
- Balance project management responsibilities with hands-on technical involvement
Success Measures
- Successful program launches with minimal disruption
- Achievement of cycle time, scrap, and throughput targets
- Minimal customer complaints post-launch
- Smooth transition from launch phase into steady-state production

Candidate Profile
- Experience in manufacturing engineering within automotive or similar environments
- Strong background in program launches and capital equipment projects
- Experience with automation systems including robotics, PLCs, and vision systems
- Strong financial and commercial awareness, including budget management
- Proven ability to manage projects while remaining technically hands-on
- Ability to work independently and drive outcomes
