Senior Dispatcher / TMW Super User

Salary: $70,000 - 80,000

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Dispatcher / TMW Super User to join our Operations team. This is a unique hybrid role that combines hands-on dispatch responsibilities with ownership of our TMW Transportation Management System (TMW Suite).

In addition to planning and dispatching company drivers and equipment, you will serve as the organization's internal TMW expert—supporting system optimization, onboarding new users, developing best practices, and training dispatch and operations staff to maximize efficiency.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both transportation operations and technology and is passionate about improving processes through system knowledge and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch Operations

• Plan and dispatch company drivers and equipment to maximize fleet utilization and customer service.
• Coordinate pickups, deliveries, appointment scheduling, and daily routing activities.
• Monitor freight movements and proactively resolve service issues, delays, and equipment challenges.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal departments throughout the day.
• Ensure compliance with Hours of Service regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
• Work collaboratively with Customer Service, Maintenance, Safety, and Operations teams to ensure efficient execution.
• 

TMW Super User Responsibilities

• Act as the primary internal subject matter expert for TMW Transportation Management System (TMW Suite).
• Train new dispatchers, planners, customer service representatives, and operations personnel on TMW functionality and best practices.
• Lead software onboarding for new employees, ensuring they are confident using the system effectively.
• Develop and maintain TMW training materials, user guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Provide day-to-day troubleshooting and support for system-related questions from operations staff.
• Work closely with management to identify opportunities to improve workflows and maximize TMW capabilities.
• Assist with testing, implementation, and rollout of new TMW features, upgrades, and integrations.
• Promote standardized processes across the operations team to improve consistency, data quality, and operational efficiency.
• Support reporting initiatives by helping users understand system functionality and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of dispatch or transportation planning experience within a transportation company.
• Advanced working knowledge of TMW Transportation Management System (TMW Suite) is required.
• Previous experience training, mentoring, or onboarding employees is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of truckload operations, fleet planning, routing, dispatch, and equipment utilization.
• Working knowledge of Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations, including Hours of Service.
• Experience supporting cross-border transportation is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
