Industrial Millwright – Red Seal Certified
Shift: Continental Rotating Shifts (5:00 AM – 5:30 PM for 2 weeks, then 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM for 2 weeks)
Pay: $47-$51/hour
A leading manufacturer of infrastructure and engineered products is seeking an experienced Red Seal Millwright to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys troubleshooting and maintaining complex machinery and equipment.
Position Overview
The Industrial Millwright will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing malfunctioning equipment such as motors, pumps, valves, and controls. This role requires expertise in the safe and effective use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. The successful candidate will also interpret technical documentation and work closely with operations to maintain uptime and production quality.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical drawings
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical equipment failures and perform corrective actions
- Analyze test results, error messages, and operator feedback to determine root causes of failures
- Repair or replace malfunctioning components and verify effectiveness of repairs
- Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble equipment for maintenance or repairs
- Operate shop equipment such as grinders, drill presses, and saws to fabricate replacement parts
- Assemble and install machinery using hand and power tools, welding, and hoisting equipment
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure continuous operation of production machinery
- Safely operate lift machines to support repair and installation tasks
- Complete detailed maintenance reports and documentation in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Report equipment issues or non-conformance to the Maintenance Manager
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid 433A Red Seal Industrial Millwright License
- Strong mechanical and basic electrical aptitude with applied math skills
- Sound understanding of mechanical systems including conveyors, pumps, granulators, and pneumatics
- Proficient in MIG and Stick welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance, repair documentation, and industrial safety standards
- Competency in using computers to manage work orders and parts requisitions
