A Family owned company in the Ohio/Kentucky border area offering a variety of services which help CPG clients engage consumers through graphic design and execution is seeking an on-site Metal Deco Technical Director. Their services include conceptual brand strategy and design, adaptive design, production of color accurate and regulatory/retailer compliant physical and digital touchpoints. They offer prepress services for the flexible packaging, plastic mold packaging and metal deco art design for the printing, packaging and canning industries among other services.

The Metal Deco Technical Director must have a vast knowledge of the Metal Deco industry, their processes, procedures, and challenges. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our clients as they solve metal printing challenges, you will be the expert they trust to ensure their designs can be executed on press. While not a true sales role, you will be expected to develop deep relationships with consumer products and converter clients. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide technical solutions, and help guide them through the process all things metal deco printing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise: Provide detailed technical support internally and externally on metal deco can printing processes, materials, and products. Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, offering solutions and advice on design, finishes, and production capabilities.
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers. Understand their unique needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their can printing and decoration requirements.
• Proposal & Quotation Creation: Prepare and present customized proposals, quotations, and presentations to prospective clients. Ensure pricing and specifications are aligned with customer needs and production capabilities.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth execution of customer orders, from initial inquiry through production and delivery. Ensure all technical aspects are addressed during the project lifecycle.
• Sales Development: In collaboration with the broader sales team, identify and prospect new business opportunities in the metal deco can pilot printing market. Expand the customer base by actively seeking potential clients in the beverage, food, and personal care industries.

Minimum Required Skills:

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical sales or business development in the packaging print industry, with a focus on metal deco or similar technologies. Consumer product company knowledge or experience.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of metal printing processes, including dry offset printing, inks, and coating technologies. Familiarity with the metal can manufacturing process is highly desirable.
• Sales Skills: Proven track record managing client relationships and the ability to identify customer needs and present appropriate solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical customers in a clear and concise manner.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify challenges and implement effective solutions for clients.
• Travel: Ability to travel as required to meet with clients, attend industry events, and visit production facilities.

This is a salaried position with an annual bonus based on the Company's EBDA
