We are currently partnering with an innovative organization to find an AI-First Legal Counsel. Our partner is transforming how work gets done in their industry. They are looking for someone who doesn't just view this role as a list of tasks, but as a chance to build scalable systems and drive data-driven decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who sees manual work as a design problem, not a necessity.

šŸ“ The RoleĀ 

You will be joining our partner’s team directly. In this role, you will evolve the legal function from a manual "bottleneck" to an automated "enabler." We are looking for a lawyer who believes that reading standard NDAs line-by-line in 2026 is a misuse of talent.Ā 

You won’t just be redlining documents; you will be architecting the legal engineering stack that pre-screens them. Your mandate is to treat law as code: building self-serve workflows that allow the business to move fast while maintaining safety.Ā 

You operate with the mindset that high-volume, low-risk legal work should be handled by agents, allowing you to focus on high-stakes strategic counsel. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Leadership, and Operations to ensure strategic alignment and delivery of high-quality results.

āš™ļø What You’ll Do

  • Automated Contract Operations: Implement and manage AI-driven CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) tools to auto-review standard agreements against playbooks, flagging only true anomalies for human review.
  • Self-Serve Legal Bots: Build and train an internal "Legal Concierge" agent that answers routine questions (e.g., policy queries, data privacy standard responses) for Sales and HR instantly.
  • Regulatory Intelligence: Use AI scanning tools to monitor global regulatory changes (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR) and automatically map potential impacts to company policies.
  • Structured Legal Data: Transform the contract repository from a folder of PDFs into a structured dataset, utilizing AI to instantly query liability caps, renewal dates, and non-standard clauses across the entire portfolio.

šŸ’” What You Bring

  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience as Legal Counsel (In-house or Law Firm), with a focus on Commercial/Corporate law or Tech transactions.
  • AI-First Mindset: You view contracts as logic puzzles. You use LLMs to draft clauses, summarize long agreements, and stress-test definitions. You are bored by repetition and energized by efficiency.
  • Adaptability: You are comfortable with ambiguity and can navigate the shifting priorities of a growing company.
  • Skills: Licensed to practice law. Proficiency with modern Legal Tech (e.g., Ironclad, LinkSquares, Juro) and a comfort level with legal engineering concepts.
  • Communication: Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to work effectively.
