Position Overview

The Post-Closing Specialist plays a critical part in our loan delivery workflow. You will review closed loan files, cure investor conditions, manage trailing documentation, and ensure loans move smoothly through the post-purchase process.

This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on investor relationships and purchase timelines. You’ll collaborate daily with Funding, Closing, QC, Secondary, and our investor partners. If you’ve worked in closing, funding, shipping, or post-closing and enjoy accurate, process-driven work—you will excel here.

Key Responsibilities

• Review closed loan files for accuracy, compliance, signatures, dates, and completeness.
• Upload and deliver loan packages to investors via their portals.
• Clear post-closing and suspense conditions from investors and due diligence firms.
• Track, collect, and reconcile trailing documents and exceptions.
• Monitor pipeline movement to ensure loans are delivered and purchased within required timelines.
• Communicate with title companies, processors, closers, funders, and investors to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide status updates and pipeline reports to leadership as needed.
• Support process improvements and contribute to a high-quality, scalable post-closing workflow.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of experience in mortgage Closing, Funding, Shipping, Post-Closing, or similar operations role
• Experience reviewing loan files and clearing conditions
• Comfort working in LOS systems and investor portals
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a high-volume environment
• Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail

Preferred (nice to have but not required):

• Experience with Non-QM or complex loan products
• Exposure to investor delivery or due diligence workflows
• Encompass or similar LOS experience
