Job Title: Component Technician

Salary: $20 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Component Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in disassembling parts from wrecked units, including transmissions and axles of crashed tractors. This role is crucial in managing components that are either warehoused for future use or utilized to rebuild other units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Disassemble parts from wrecked or damaged units, including transmissions and axles.
• Sort and store components for shipping to new locations or for reassembly into other units.
• Follow clear instructions to ensure accurate disassembly and handling of parts.
• Utilize tooling effectively for component removal and handling.
• Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in managing components.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and proper PPE requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
• Handle components with care to avoid damage and ensure quality for future use.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with disassembling mechanical components.
• Ability to understand and follow clear directions without the need for diagnostic work.
• Familiarity with tooling and the disassembly process.
• No formal tech degree required, but experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Welding experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong commitment to safety practices and proper use of PPE.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under minimal supervision.
