Evinex is a staffing firm focused on connecting the right people with the right businesses. This is a Direct Hire position for one of our prestigious clients in the Financial Services Industry.


Job Summary

The Financial Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management for a leading investment banking and corporate financial services firm. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background to manage day-to-day financial operations and provide leadership on financial strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience in the financial services industry with a deep understanding of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and human resources management.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee all financial management aspects including accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and records.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable invoicing and cash receipts.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors, and lead the annual audit.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for the CEO and COO.
  • Administer company benefits and coordinate pre-employment requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with FINRA, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Maintain the Supervisory Procedure Manual and CRD account.


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Required

  • Proven accounting experience using QuickBooks Online and Enterprise versions.
  • Highly organized and self-managing.
  • Excellent English verbal and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.


Education / Professional Experience

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry.


Licenses / Certifications

  • S24 certified or willingness to become certified.
