The Integration Engineer will play a critical, hands-on role in bringing factory equipment online, developing test infrastructure, and ensuring optical systems perform reliably in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy working directly with hardware, solving real-world problems on the production floor, and owning complex systems from setup through operation.

Job Duties

  • Bring new manufacturing and lab equipment online, from installation through full operation
  • Design, build, and maintain electrical and optical test systems for validation and production
  • Support optical performance characterization using custom test setups and instrumentation
  • Integrate new tools, fixtures, and automated systems into the manufacturing workflow
  • Work closely with process, optical, and manufacturing engineers on system performance
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment, tooling, and test infrastructure issues in real time
  • Develop calibration, qualification, and validation procedures for factory systems
  • Support pilot production builds and transitions from development to manufacturing
  • Create clear documentation for test methods, workflows, and system configurations
  • Drive improvements in reliability, yield, and overall production efficiency


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in integration, manufacturing, or test engineering
  • Proven experience bringing up factory or lab equipment
  • Strong background in system-level integration and test infrastructure
  • Familiarity with optical testing tools, instrumentation, or photonics systems
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, hardware-focused environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis abilities
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed


Preferred Experience

  • Experience with photonics, optical systems, or fiber-based technologies
  • Background in high-precision manufacturing or advanced packaging environments
  • Familiarity with automation systems, motion platforms, or factory tooling
  • Experience transitioning products from prototype to production
  • Exposure to data acquisition systems and test automation

Compensation Details

$120,000 - $180,000
