Job Duties

  • Design, prototype, and operate large-scale additive manufacturing and machining systems.
  • Build and maintain equipment for composite material handling, mixing, and processing.
  • Lead or support machining, fabrication, and assembly of critical components.
  • Identify design improvements for hardware, control systems, and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and leadership to advance system reliability and performance.
  • Prepare and present findings, documentation, and testing results.
  • Contribute to software infrastructure setup and integration within the smart factory environment.
  • Assist with day-to-day startup operations as needed in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
  • 3D CAD proficiency (Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
  • Fundamental knowledge of 3D printing, composites, or electromechanical systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively on small, fast-moving teams.
  • Passion for working in a startup environment with flexibility to take on multiple responsibilities.


Preferred Experience

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional or graduate-level experience.
  • Familiarity with extrusion-based 3D printing, Direct Ink Write (DIW), or additive manufacturing methods.
  • Experience with machining, fabrication, or CNC tools.
  • Knowledge of thermoset polymers, ceramics, composites, or resin-based mixing techniques.
  • Exposure to electronics, control systems, or programming in an engineering context.
  • Prior experience working in an early-stage startup or small business environment.

Compensation Details

$90,000 - $140,000
